Hill’s and Petco have teamed up to offer free Microchipping for Dogs and Cats.
What Is It
Dog and Cat microchipping is a safe and permanent form of pet identification that helps reunite lost animals with their owners. About the size of a grain of rice, the microchip is inserted just beneath the pet’s skin, usually between the shoulder blades, and contains a unique identification number that can be read with a special scanner. Unlike collars or tags, which can fall off or become damaged, a microchip remains with the pet for life. When registered with up-to-date owner contact information, microchipping greatly increases the chances of a lost pet being safely returned home.
What You’ll Get
You’ll get free microchipping for your dog or cat ($25 to $60 value). You’ll get the microchip itself and the implantation procedure free.
